WordPress Theme Documentation
Basic introduction about Web Wave Theme setup.
Requirement
We advise you have the following minimum system configuration in your web server.
- WordPress version 5.4
- Requires PHP: 5.2
WordPress Theme Installation
From the WordPress Dashboard
- Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
- Go to the
Appearance > Themes
- Click Add New
- Upload the Zip file of Web Wave
- After Installing the theme Click Activate button
FTP Installation (alternate method)
- Use your FTP software to browse to wp-content/themes folder.
- Extract web-wave.zip and upload the folder.
- Once it’s uploaded, go to your WordPress Admin, browse to
Appearance > Themes
- Click the Activate button.
Dummy Data
After theme activation, it’s recommended a certain plugin to install. Click on Begin installing plugins, to install the plugin. Install ThemeSara-toolset
After installation of the recommended plugins, Go to Appearance > Demo Data
and choose the demo which you want to import.
Adding Pages / Posts
Adding a new page is the same way as default WordPress installations, however, there are extra options that might need explaining. Usually, each page has content and featured image. You can enable Excerpt Field too.
- Go to Admin Panel
- Go to
Pages > Add New
- Give the title of the Page
- Write the content of the Page
- Scroll to down and see the right corner, you will find the Set Featured Image section
- Click Publish
This theme can fully customize from the Customize section. To customize the theme, Go to Appearance > Customize
. You will find the various options related to theme. You can add as many pages as you want.
Adding Content
Create or Edit a Menu
This theme supports Custom Menu. You can set it through the following steps.
- Go to
Appearance > Menus
- Give your menu a name and build it up using little widgets on the left.
- You can add Pages, Posts, Custom Links and Categories
- On the right, feel free to drag and drop menu items to organize them
- You can order your menu position with drag and drop option as well.
- Now simply select the Display Location to Primary Menu for your newly created menus using a widget on the left. Afterwards, click Save.
Categories
- Go to Administration Panels
- Go to
Posts > Categories
- Give the Title of the category
- Click on Save
- The added category will appear on the Add Post Page.
Setup Widget Areas
Blog Web theme has 2 Custom widgets name Author Widget and Recent Post Widget, you can use this widget in sidebar
Customize
When you go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize
, there you find various options available. Just try those options one by one you will able to understand how the theme works and can create any kinds of sites.
Site Identity
- Go to
Customize > Site Identity
- You will get the options to manage Site Title, Tagline, and Logo
- Use the available options to customize the Logo, Site Title, and Tagline.
- If the preview is fine Click on Publish to save the changes.
Theme options
From Appearance > Customize > Theme Option
, You will find various settings in this widget. Now setup the widget according to your need.
Layout Settings
- Go to
Customize > Theme Option > Layout Settings
- You can choose the slider and choose its options.
- You can choose the Home Style Layout
- You can Hide/Show Sidebar on the Home page, Archive, Post and on Page
- If the preview is fine Click on Publish to save the changes.
Color Options Settings
- Go to
Customize > Web Wave color Options
- You can Select the Primary Color, Buttons Colors and Text color
- After all the colors selections Click on Publish to save the changes.
Post Settings
- Go to
Customize > Theme Option > Post Settings Options
- This setting helps you to Hide/Show Meta Field, Related Post,Post navigation etc in Blog/Archive Page and Single Post
- You can Change the Related Post text from Here
- You can Change the Read More Button text from Here
- If the preview is fine Click on Publish to save the changes.
Breadcrumb Options
- Hide or show breadcrumb in pages/posts.
- Choose any breadcrumb from the plugin
- Choose background image for breadcrumb.
- If the preview is fine Click on Publish to save the changes.
Footer Option
- Go to
Customize > Theme Option > Footer Option
- Change the footer text of your site.
- If the preview is fine Click on Publish to save the changes.
About Options
- Hide or show About Banner Section
- After changes are done Click on Publish to save the changes.
Back To Top Options
- Hide or show Back To Top Button
- If the preview is fine Click on Publish to save the changes.
Menus
Menu options lets you choose and various pages in the menu located at different sections. It has the following options:
- Go to
Appearance > Customize > Menus > View all location
- You can update title and locations for the menus.
- Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Widget
Widgets let you add and update some extra feature on your site like pages, text, images etc. Go to Appearance > Customize > Widget
, It includes the followings:

Blog Sidebar Area
This widgets lets you show widgets in Sidebar sections in different pages/posts.
- Go to
Appearance > Customize > Widgets >Blog Sidebar
. - You can add, edit and change the order of the widgets in this setting.
- Click on Publish to save the changes.

Additional CSS
Go to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS
. Additional CSS lets you update the outlook of the site by adding more CSS to the theme
